LO4: Selecting, creating and Evaluating my portfolio
I compiled this selection of images from a range of photo collections in my portfolio. Through the 10 total photos I wanted to summarise my work and exhibit my strengths and the style/genre of images that I think my strengths lie in. 5 of the images used are a variation of music photography, I chose to put such a strong emphasis on this style of photography because it was the subject of many projects I worked on and therefore have had a larger amount of time to develop my own style for it and have created some of my strongest images. I also wanted to choose a selection of vibrant images or those which use colour and shadowing effectively, these include 3 images from my photoshoot focussed on using a projector. I think that these are some of the most captivating images that I created, and are surrealist enough without much editing, resulting in an extremely interesting image. One of the final images I created was intended to evoke much more of a comedic effect. It uses a simple piece of editing, which combines two images with some changes to colour on one of them. Though this isn't my most technically interesting image, I still enjoy it very much and believe that it helps portray the imagination I wish to have in my images, whilst demonstrating how I can use my images to evoke multiple emotions (Humour, fear, sadness, optimism).
